Attendees are welcome and encouraged to submit an appraisal before the event if they would like it to be used as an example. (Identifying details will be redacted for the purpose of the review) You are also invited to bring a copy to the session to follow along.

Joel Hassler, CGA, started in the industry in 2000, earning his American Gem Society (AGS) Certified Gemologist® Appraiser (CGA) title in 2003. In 2018, Joel was chosen as one of the two new CGA Instructors to take over for Cos Altobelli, ECGA, and has presented on appraisal and store operations topics at AGS Conclave. He has sat on the AGS International Board of Directors, is a past Wisconsin Guild President, and is the current Chair of the Appraisal Standards sub-committee.
