Rob Bates has written about the jewelry industry for three decades, with the last 25 years spent at JCK and JCKonline. As the publication’s news director, he cohosts its biweekly podcast, “The Jewelry District,” and helps compile its daily e-newsletter. His work has received 12 industry and editorial awards. He is the author of three mystery novels set in the Diamond District: A Murder is Forever, Murder is Not a Girl’s Best Friend, and Slay It With a Diamond, which was published in September 2023 by Camel Press.
