Supplier Spotlight: Jamie Turner

Jamie Turner began as a family venture in Texas, sparked by Robert Turner and his daughter Jamie’s fascination with gemstones and jewelry. Robert started collecting gemstones in the early 2000s, and by 2017, he was designing his own handmade jewelry, drawing inspiration from Jamie’s unique style. The collection was named after her, reflecting the personal connection at its core.

In 2020, Robert partnered with master jeweler Patrick Dobbs, co-founder and designer of Jamie Turner, to perfect the collection. Their collaboration led to the official launch of Jamie Turner in 2022. This collection features rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, with many pieces made with beautiful gemstones.

“At Jamie Turner, we design fine jewelry that contrasts the natural imperfections of exquisite gemstones with the precision of handcrafted gold settings to encourage your unique style and celebrate your individuality,” explains Patrick.

Patrick adds that they are particular about using color in their design process. “We love working with big, bold gemstones and breaking all the rules to create modern pieces that are truly unique in the industry. In addition, all of our product is made by hand in our Austin, TX studio.” Creating handmade jewelry makes the piece that much more special.

Which design is his favorite? “I like the Winnie Earrings; they are just spectacular. The color combination, design, style, and the halo of diamonds are just so special. The combination of the faceted rubellite stone with the cabochon turquoise stone looks so unique together, both earthy and refined.”

For the team at Jamie Turner, who became members of the American Gem Society (AGS) in early 2024, one of the most valuable advantages of AGS membership is the extensive network of like-minded people who share a passion for jewelry. “The AGS community likes different and innovative things, not just bridal,” says Patrick. “They have a passion for craftsmanship, quality, colored stones, and customer service.”
